June 2015 - New Summer Collection

Continually inspired by the beauty, infinite variety and elemental link to the past, rocks, minerals and fossils have always fascinated me and assisted me with the development of my new pieces.

Vitreous Minerals share the wonderous lustre of glass. Some minerals exhibit unusual optical phenomena, displaying luminous bands of changing colour, which appear to move as each specimen rotates.

I have been experimenting with a similar radiance, gloss and brilliance using transparent hues which concentrate on the movement of light. Translating my ideas into a body of work which uses my favoured 'Vug' form and Agate Mineral qualities.

February 2015 - DMU Lecture

Invited back to my roots, I visited De Montfort’s University in Leicester, to hopefully inspire and encourage the current students of Design Crafts about the steps I have taken through my exciting journey so far. Taking a trip down memory lane I popped in to the workshops and took a peek at their studio spaces.

January 2015 - New Ashgate Gallery

Originally established in the 1950's, the New Ashgate Gallery has been located in the centre of Farnharm’s Craft Town in a seventeenth century listed building in Waggon Yard since the 1970's.
Today the gallery curates an exciting programme of exhibitions and is dedicated to champion the best contemporary art and craft by established and emerging artists and makers.
A selection of my glass curiosities featured alongside talented makers in their Spring Craft Collection.
